The Knox Redskins road the arm of Senior McKenzie McIntire in the 5-0 win over conference foe North Judson/San Pierre. The Redskins improved to 3-0 (1-0 in the conference) and the Bluejays fell to 2-2 (0-1) McIntire set the tone by striking out a school record 10 straight batters to start the game on the way to a 17 strikeout game. McKenzie threw her second one hitter of the season and she continues to accumulate more one hitters in her career.

She got plenty of help from battery mate MaKenzie Morgan who led off the game with a triple to score the only run the Redskins needed and then came back and hit towering home run with a runner on that may have landed in Bass Lake, 3rd sacker Trishta Brewer made a successful homecoming as not only was she rock solid at 3rd but she lashed two hits including a double. The Redskins were aggressive as they stole three critical bases (Riley Goetz, Emi Rottering, & Morgan) that all led to runs.

Tomorrow the Redskins open their home season against Marshal County foe, Plymouth at noon.
