Knox High School rolled to a 13-1 win over conference foe LaVille behind outstanding pitching and power hitting.
The Redskins rode the one hit arms of McKenzie McIntire and no hit pitching of Emi Rotering. McIntire struck out 6 and walked one while Rotering struck out 4.
Knox’ bats came out big behind a lead off towering home run by MaKenzie Morgan, two run home run by Trishta Brewer and Rotering added a 3 run dinger of her own. Morgan also added a double while knocking in 3 runs. Brewer lead the Skins’ with 4 RBIS and Hannah Smith knocked in 2. Knox banged out 13 hits. LaVille’s only hit was a home run of their own in the second inning.
The Redskins travel to highly touted South Central on Tuesday.
